Port Dickson High School (Malay: Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi Port Dickson) is a secondary school located in Port Dickson. The school is widely known as STPD.

History

Education in Port Dickson began before 1910 in a private school. However, there is pressure to open an English school in the city. A group of local residents led by Mr Kandiah, Postmaster has appealed to government to take over the private school owned by Mrs. Edwards, wife of police chief of Port Dickson. The school was transferred to the Fire Station parking lot first. After a few months later, the school moved to J.K.R store now.
In 1919, the school was moved on site Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Port Dickson today. In the initial years, this school only took female teachers and is said tradition of this school despite has male and female students.
In 1924, the school was breaking the tradition that Mr. S.P.S Kannu from Kuala Pilah has appointed to be Head Master. While Mr S.P.S Kannu was appointed, the number of students in this school is only 80 people and the school only offers education up to standard 5 only. The number of students increased by 200 students from the year 1924 until the time of the Japanese war in Malaya. Students who have completed their studies up to standard 5, had to go to Seremban to continue their study.
After the war is end, the school is reopened. The school is temporarily located in Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Gelam because of the existing schools is being repaired as a result of Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Port Dickson which was used as the headquarters for the Japanese Shipbuilding during the war. Six months later, the school was moved to its own building and it has administered by Mr. Lionel Van Geyzel as the Head Master. The number of students has increased to 656 people due to the two new classroom blocks were built. Canteen is now open due to the addition of a classroom of students.
